What a great photo! Not to mention the beautiful skies! Thanks for stopping by my blog -- and, hey, take one of those pills! They're great for times like now!
Beautiful photo. Nice to revisit happy memories. I visited Gettysburg many years ago with friends.
A beautiful skyline with a beautiful statue accompanying it :)
Napaboaniya APAD
I've been there and it is very moving and haunting. My parents are Civil War Buffs and we heard a lot about it as kids. It's nice to have the photos to help bring back nice memories from a trip...
Very wonderful skywatch shot, Gretchen. It's really a sad, moving, awesome place, isn't it? I've been there a couple of times and I felt so sorry for all the pain and misery that field witnessed.
Nice picture ! I haven't been in this area.
A dramatic monument backed by some fantastic cumulus clouds!
Hallo Gretchen, great swf photo reminding of the Civil War! Thank you for your visit. Have a good weekend!
What a wonderfully dramatic background the sky's providing for such a pose! Beautiful. I visited Gettysburg as a child, and have never forgotten the feelings I had there--the awe, and the sorrow.
Wonderful photo.

Very nice photo and a lovely blog. I am sorry for your headache problem, my husband has same problem too. Who doesn't have it , or do not live with person with it, cannot imagine how many problems you all have. He had same treatment as you. No result. I believe and hope that acupuncture and alternative medicine can help to all with that problem.
Great picture with great composition!
Hi Gretchen! Great Sky Watch. It is nice to revisit happy memories. As it is to make new happy memories.
This is late, but Happy Belated Anniversary. May you and your husband have many years of making happy memories together. Lisa
Very nice picture !
Gorgeous shot!
Gretchen: A neat look at the statue in a great sky with all the variations.
Thanks for your comment.
Wonderful image. The monument stands out in the beautiful cloudy sky.
Great silhouette of the statue against the sky. I love it. Thank you
Great photo and great skywatch - I almost expect a follow-up photo showing the horse and rider heading out into the sunset.
What a fine photograph. It gives off a strong feeling.
About your question--No, I don't think Santa is very popular in Israel. Most of the Christian minority are Arab Christians and Santa is just not in their tradition.
I love the angle. Very dramatic with that sky.
your nostalgia bid you well as a sky watch picture - the cloud is a perfect backdrop to this monument
Nice choice for SWF.
Exquisite capture of man-made art and very interesting sky!
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog! :-)
I really enjoyed reading about your trip here. I've never been; it looks quite fascinating. Thanks for the nice photos.
Ominous sky there - really made the photo!
Hi Gretchen, nice photo. I have always has a fascination with the American Civil and have read many accounts of it. I just find it hard to comprehend that a nation can become that divided. Reminds me of our own Anglo Boer War and more recently the struggle for independence. What is it about the nature of man that makes us so prone to resorting to violence and war?
Nice SWF!
What a great statue against that beautiful rumbling clouds
Great photo for sky watch friday, like the way you included the local features.
Thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.
Icredible skies for that statue capture! I've not been there!
Wonderful photo. It is so dramatic with such clouds behind the statue. Great capture.
Happy skywatching:-)
