So long, George

One of the true legends of comedy, George Carlin, is gone. He broke more than a few rules and laws with his Seven Words you can't say on TV. A battle over his comedy -- namely his "Filthy Words" routine -- went all the way to the Supreme Court.

He was great in Dogma (one of my favorite movies) and all the other Jay and Silent Bob movies.

We'll miss you, George!

Yep -sure got that right about his being such a legend. Very provocative, for sure but also a very smart and funny man as well!

I read about this yesterday on my friend Josie's blog. She had included a video of him which did indeed make me laugh. Yes, a sad sad loss.
Wilma asked me to thank you for the comment on her blog. She is just packing a few things for the doggie hotel, we are going away for a few days.
Do check out my ABC Wednesday, I think you'd enjoy it. A lot of the CC bloggers partake. We are up to W tomorrow, but will be starting a new round soon.

Carlin was absolutely brilliant. I can't believe he's gone.

I still haven't seen Dogma (although now I have to), but I've been watching George Carlin routines for years. He will be missed.

(also, thank you for stopping by my blog)
