Camera Critters
Of course, this is my beloved Adonis getting ready for a backpacking trip. I miss him every day, but especially when backpacking season is here. It's hard to go on our favorite trails and not see his smiling face racing beside me.
Just found this new Sunday meme thing for bloggers called Camera Critters from http://camera-critters.blogspot.com/, so I'll give it a try.

Oh my he was beautiful. I love Golden Retrievers, and miss mine terribly. They are fantastic dogs. And, Adonis certainly did have a wonderful smile.

Adonis was 6 in this photo and we lost him the following year. We still have his mate Aphrodite, but she is it for me.
After losing my boy, I just can't bear the thought of losing another. He was my best friend from the moment I picked him up. He never left my side.
Oh my, Adonis was a handsome boy, wasn't he? It is true how we become so attached to our pets, they are truly our children. Beautiful post.
