Sky Watch Friday 12

I took this our last day in Virginia Beach. A and I went down to the beach early in the morning for a few photos. The sun rising over the Atlantic ocean is a sight everyone should experience once in their life time.

If you'd like to take part in the fun, stop over at Sky Watch Friday page and get all the details.

Great shot! I love it. And tell your daughter to enjoy the recipes! LOL she might want to read this post too. http://www.3sidesofcrazy.com/2008/05/secret-recipes.html I also have a favorite quote that pertains since there are only so many ingredients, I believe we keep reinventing the same recipes to our own likes making them our own. The quote is from Albert Schweitzer, "At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."

Your pictures are always very good. Sometimes I am a little hesitant to post some of mine. I do with no claim to artistic merit only information.

You commented in my blog how I thought Governor Palin did in thr debate. i think Dr Juan Cole got it about right. http://www.commondreams.org/view/2008/10/03 While she did not fall flat on her face she still appeared inadequate intellectually for the job of Vice President. She has yet to demonstrate she can think for herself and has a depth of knowledge on anything.

Must be sad for you to leave the beach. I'd find it sad. The beach is so beautiful and relaxing.

great pic. It's neat when you look at the powerful sun and everything in the background and you see someone standing in the shadow of it in the front. Thanks for posting the pic :)

I think I saw two sunrises before we went to Inishfre - one of those was sleepingin the open and waking to watch the sun come up over the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus.
A saw many after our move and photographed a number.
A good picture recording a good thought.

A sunrise is very exceptional, as most people get up after sunrise. At least I do. So yours is great!

Beautiful Sky Watch. I like the shadow on the sand and the shimmer on the ocean. I would love to photograph the sunset rise, but I can't seem to get my butt out of bed earlier enough on the weekends.

Have a good weekend. Lisa
